Enough

I think it is important that each of us strives to be.

That’s it. Just be.

Be here.

Be yourself.

Be a failure.

Then pick yourself up and never stop trying to be who it is you wish to be.

As humans, we are fickle beings. Often wanting what we cannot have and despising what is right in front of us. Always wishing for more while forgetting that we are each blessed. If only I was taller, tanner, or just slightly thinner.

I would do that or be this, if only I could just be…

So much more than just me.

Here’s something to consider that we all fail to see. There are so many times when the biggest obstacle we face in life is simply stepping out of our own way. You don’t have to be tall or tan. Pretty or thin.

Do what you say you are going to do. Be exactly who you set out to be, and if you fail today wake up tomorrow and simply keep trying. Not to be tall, tan, or thin. But to be a better human being and a good friend.

Be yourself, just be. Do so shamelessly. You aren’t too much of anything.

You’re enough. Quiet every voice that says otherwise and just breathe.
